When we think of cakes, we usually refer to the bakery-bought cakes with a lot of icing. The icing is full of sugar and fats. I like my cakes without icing with just a drizzle of fruit glaze or jam.
I had a lot of green and black grapes in the refrigerator. So I tried making grapes cake and topped it with black grapes jam. Here is a quick and easy recipe!

- Ingredients
- All purpose flour – 1 cup
- Powdered Sugar – 1/2 cup
- Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
- Baking powder – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – 1 pinch
- Oil – 1/4 cup
- Grapes pulp – 1/2 cup
- Milk – 1/2 cup
For Jam
- Black grapes – 1cup
- Sugar – 1/2cup
- Process
Grapes Cake
- Sieve together flour, powdered sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
- In another bowl, mix milk, oil, and grapes pulp
- Fold the dry and liquid ingredients together
- Pour the batter in the cake mold
- Bake the cake at 170 degrees for 30 – 35 mins
Grapes Jam
- Cut the grapes into halves (if you want it to be homogeneous, you can blend it in a mixer before cooking, I used a potato masher while cooking to keep it little pulpy)
- Put the grapes and sugar in a pan and cook on medium heat
- It will take around 20 mins until it turns into thick jam
- You can put it for cooking while you are preparing the cake batter
